”Magilumiere Co. Ltd.” is a helpful business animation for venture human resource development!
The TV anime “Magilumiere Co. Ltd.” began on October 4, 2024.
This anime is not only about magical girls, but also contains many important things for a venture company. It is full of mindsets that are useful for business as well, and the original manga could no longer be called a business book.
Koji Shigemoto (President-chan ), played by Rikiya Koyama, who is well known for dubbing Jack Bauer in the “24 -TWENTY FOUR-” series and for the voice of Kogoro Mouri, the second generation of “Detective Conan,” says a series of words that he wants you to say as a subordinate and embodies an ideal leader for a venture company, so I would like to introduce him.
*I won’t particularly mention that President-chan is dressed as a magical girl. Please watch the anime!

An anime for job hunters to watch!
Kana Sakuragi, the main character in this work, is also having trouble finding a job.
When job hunting for new graduates, we tend to focus on big companies that look flashy and glittering.
However, major companies account for only 0.3% of all companies in Japan, and 99.7% are small and medium-sized companies. The selection ratio is high and only a handful of people are accepted. It is natural to fail, so I hope that you will not be so depressed that you will not be able to move on to the next step.
Also, in the case of large companies, there are so many employees and so many things to handle that you cannot be sure if you will be able to do what you really want to do or hold a position immediately. I would like job hunters to see this anime to get an idea of what venture companies are like.
Not all small and medium-sized companies have the same feeling, but it might be a good idea to broaden your horizons and look for a venture company that suits you, like “Magilumiere Co. Ltd.”!

The venture business spirit of the micro-enterprise “Magilumiere Co. Ltd.”
“Magilumiere Co. Ltd.” is very unique in that it is an anime set in a venture business. Unlike conventional magical girl works, it incorporates a strong business element.
If you haven’t seen it yet, this article may contain some spoilers. Please understand the nature of this article.
Venture Spirit: Magilumiere Co. Ltd. is portrayed as a start-up venture company, taking a different approach to the magical girl business than existing large corporations. It reflects the characteristics of a venture company that emphasizes overwhelming speed work, innovative ideas and flexible thinking.
Human Resource Development: The growth story of the main character, Kana Sakuragi, who joins the company as a new graduate, illustrates the importance of human resource development in a venture company. The process of discovering and nurturing her potential overlaps with the attitude of venture companies toward discovering and nurturing young talent. The decision to hire a new employee was also made to reduce the burden on the current Magical Girl employee, and can be used as a reference for human resource development not only for the new employee but also for other employees.
Teamwork: In a venture, it is necessary to maximize effectiveness with a limited number of people. The importance of teamwork is emphasized in the anime, which depicts magical girls and their supporting magical engineers and salespeople working together to fight monsters while individually making the most of their abilities.
Innovation: Magilumiere Co. Ltd. seeks to bring new approaches in the magical girl business (such as the immediate development and transfer of magic). This is consistent with the venture’s attempt to bring innovation to an existing market.
Competition and collaboration: The work also describes the relationship between Magilumiere Co. Ltd. and its competitors. The lack of resources faced by small ventures and the resulting need for cooperation with other companies are also represented.
Motivating subordinates! Three famous lines by Koji Shigemoto (President-chan)
Based on the above venture spirit, Koji Shigemoto shoots out many good words from the beginning of the story. Here I would like to introduce three words that I would like him to say from the perspective of his subordinates in the venture business, words that will motivate them.
1.You may not realize it, but you are very talented.”
The main character, Kana, is interviewing for a job at a major company when suddenly a monster appears. She rushes there and supports a magical girl (Hitomi Koshigaya) who confronts her by operating a magic management application called “Bullet Count-chan.
In doing so, she also notices a problem and changes the settings on a moment’s notice. The extermination case was successfully resolved.
Kana was then scouted by Koshigaya and headed for “Magilumiere Co. Ltd.”
Although she thinks her actions are “no big deal,” the president of the company praises her once again for her energy and judgment.
Surprisingly, it is difficult for the person himself to realize what others cannot do. Also, if you think “I did pretty well,” and your boss takes it for granted and treats you as if you deserve it, or tries to mount you as if you are better than me, etc… you will not want to follow that boss.
I think it is important for subordinates to have a supervisor who praises, acknowledges, and reiterates their feelings, as this will motivate them to work harder.
2.’Don’t take it too hard, I decided to hire the new guy for your sake.’
Magical Girl Koshigaya was the only Magical Girl in “Magilumiere Co. Ltd.”, but she could not be replaced, and the burden was too much for her, so we decided to hire a new graduate, Magical Girl Kana.
However, Koshigaya had a strong sense of responsibility having worked alone up until now, so she tried to solve the problem on her own, but she was in quite a pinch. This is what the president said to her at that time.
These were words that had a significant impact on the growth of both of them, as they allowed Koshigaya to rely on the newcomer and also challenged the newcomer. By all means, I think it is important as a supervisor to manage and support subordinates who are too aggressive, to make sure they are not overworking. It is not good to harm their health, and power harassment and moral harassment are not acceptable.
3.I will take full responsibility for anything that happens in the company from now on, so do as you please.”
The newcomer, Kana, used her own judgment to execute the magic of the production hit and successfully exterminate the monster, but it was going to affect many areas (industry, etc.), including the unorthodox response. However, he accepts it as no big deal and says these words after work to the newcomer for taking on the challenge.
As a subordinate, I can take on the next challenge just by having these words of support.

It is very instructive to read it in a comic book, but when Rikiya Koyama says it in his voice, it really sticks in your mind.
And I think this venture mindset will have a positive impact on any boss, not just venture companies.
It may be difficult to dress up as a magical girl, but if you can imitate her, even if it is only in words, it will create a comfortable work environment and improve everyone’s performance.
Furthermore, this work is not only about the president, but also about the sales staff, engineers, other magical girls, and other colleagues and business partners, who also leave many wise words.
Also, since various companies and managers appear in this work, it is interesting to compare the characteristics of each company.
As one would expect from a JUMP manga, the content is very rich.
“Magilumiere Co. Ltd.” has just started. I highly recommend this work to businessmen who do not usually watch anime!
